Toskala Will Make 2nd Start Tonight

Toronto goaltender Vesa Toskala makes his second start of the preseason Monday night as the Maple Leafs host the St. Louis Blues.

Toskala allowed five goals on 25 shots in a 5-4 home loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday.
Prospect Justin Pogge has taken the bulk of the load in net in three other games this preseason, and is coming off a loss in which he gave up a late 2-0 lead by allowing two goals in the final three minutes and one in overtime to the Buffalo Sabres Saturday.

Veteran Curtis Joseph played the first period of Toronto's first exhibition game, giving up one goal on five shots before giving way to Pogge.

All three goalies skated Monday morning.

Two players who did not take part in the morning practice were defenceman Jeff Finger and forward Dominic Moore. Finger is day-to-day with a tender foot and was unable to put it in his skate Monday.

First-round draft pick Luke Schenn was paired with Tomas Kaberle as Toronto will dress six defenceman for Monday's game. The Leafs haven't decided yet on Schenn's future with the club; coach Ron Wilson said Monday the team has a week to make any decision.

Swedish defenceman Jonas Frogren will not play in the game. Wilson said he is sound defensively but his challenge is moving with the play and holding the offensive blue line.

* Kubina-Colaiacovo
